Setting Goals

Sarah had a visit from her friend Victoria a couple of days ago. She had a good time with that. We are going to have a birthday party for her at the hospital this weekend. It stinks that she will have to celebrate her birthday this way, but we will do what we can to make it special.

They scheduled an EEG for her tomorrow. They want to check and see if they can pinpoint where the seizures are coming from. The doctors are still not in agreement, but I have requested that they sit down and sort it out. I will know more about that in the next few days.

We had a conference today with all of her therapists and a few other people. They wanted to give us their input on goals they have for Sarah before they feel she can go home and do the rest of her therapy in an outpatient environment. They also wanted to know what our goals for her where. We are having a problem concentrating on her recovery when we have to deal with seizures. I feel like I am in a constant state of prayer begging for them to stop forever.

Well, you tell Sarah that her friends from MS are thinking about her daily. Hoping that the seizures stop very soon. I know how frustrating it must be. Take care and if tere is anything I can do please let me know.

Kim and Joey- I know that this is frustrating. I pray that the doctors will pinpoint the seizure reason and be able to correct it easily. I remember Sarah to God several times a day. She is constantly on my mind so I want her to be constantly on God’s! I know He must be getting a lot of prayers on her behalf because Sarah is so loved by us all. Tell Sarah that I love her and to work hard so that I can see her at church again very soon.
God bless you all and keep on praying. He will give you strength.
    Love-Marla Mathis

I just wanted to let you know that a lot of us are keeping Sarah (and the entire family) in our thoughts and prayers. You do not know me (I ran into Mrs. Alward coming into the door at the Benefit and kinda introduced myselt). But please know that I am another Madison Mom that is here and willing to do anything you need to help! I keep Sarah’s blog on my computer and check her progress.
