You're paying attention now, and you will reach a normalcy. It took us about 2 years after surgery to find ours. I spent the first year after surgery thinking I would have a heart attack from the stress, and even fell apart periodically, but now we have whole days where it isn't an issue. If you read our blog you'll find it is about family, not the hemi. It gets better, I promise. Sarah, you look great!!!! Abby loves the pool, and now can swim all by herself (and even does her version on swim team in the summer). I can tell you are working so hard.
